Dr. Joy Jiang
"Please call me Dr. Joy!"
Dr. Joy Jiang received her bachelor's degree in psychology at Davidson College and completed her dental education at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. As a student, Dr. Joy habitually strove for the highest level of proficiency; she managed to graduate in the top 10% of her dental school class and earned membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. Extracurricularly, she regularly sought out opportunities to volunteer in the community and mentor fellow students.
Dr. Joy aims to cultivate a service-centered mindset, and as a lifelong hobby artist, she finds opportunities to integrate her passion for the visual arts into methods of helping others especially fulfilling. Every patient in need of a refurbished smile is a masterpiece in the making, and Dr. Joy pledges to utilize the utmost in her observational and fine motor skills in order to bring those masterpieces to life. This dedication to service also extends to Dr. Joy's artwork created outside the mouth; the sale of some her pieces have been used to fund dental care for survivors of domestic violence.
Outside of the dental office and the artist's studio, Dr. Joy enjoys reading, bird-watching, and exploring new restaurants. She is very thankful for her adoption into the family at Oak Springs and welcomes everyone to join the fold.
